Hancock Natural Resource Group (HNRG) has retained LandVest Inc. as its transaction manager in the disposition of the Pinchot Timberlands. This Washington state timberland asset will be offered in two blocks (North and South) through a single-stage, sealed-bid process, expected to commence on October 26, 2017 and conclude with bids due on December 6, 2017. Approximately equal in size and attributes, the North and South Blocks contain 14,722± and 16,213± acres in Pierce County, respectively. These timberlands are located southeast of Tacoma; the two blocks being separated by the Puyallup River and each block tightly grouped into several large parcels. In addition, the North Block includes 2,151± acres in Grays Harbor county located northwest of Aberdeen. Access to both blocks is straightforward, secured, and contributory to cost-effective log delivery into local and regional markets. These are high-growth, investment-grade timberlands which provide an opportunity for short-rotation timber management and both near- and long-term value generation.
